Steve Adams has been the Children’s Pastor at Saddleback Church since 2007. He has served as Children’s Pastor for over 20 years and is a leader and mentor to many children’s ministry leaders around the country and into the world. God has blessed him with a creative mind, a true pastor’s heart and a passion for serving God and others through Children’s Ministry! Steve and his wife, Stephanie, have two sons – Tyler and Matthew.

More Than Puppets 
Hi Steve,
Greetings from the deserts of Phoenix, Arizona. I had the opportunity to attend CPC 2012 in San Diego last week. While there, I attended your breakout session on The Re-Invention Principle. I wanted to Thank You for sharing your insights and wisdom. I am currently on an 8 week sabbatical that our church has blessed me with and this topic is right where I am at. I have been in my current position for 13 years and a CP for almost 16 years. I am in the midst of trying to redefine myself as a leader and the ministry I oversee. You listed several obstacles and the 2 that hit home were Fear and Insecurity. What practical things have you discovered in ministry in dealing specifically with fear and insecurity and moving forward in growing as a leader and growing as a ministry.
Again Thank You for sharing from your experiences. Your breakout was one of my take-aways last week. Now I just need to discern how to move forward when I return in a few weeks. Your last question: “If you stayed on the path you are currently on, will you arrive at your desired destination” really struck a nerve.

Hey Steve,
just discovered your blog and loving all the resource available. i have just returned from our Kidshaper conference with Gabriel George as our keynote speaker and was thinking about you and how much we enjoyed having you speak a few years ago. I keep in touch with your world through Facebook and pray for you and Stephanie regularly . I hope you are doing well – Karen and i loved spending time with you guys last time you visited. We are celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary next May and may be doing a trip to Alaska, Canada and the US so may give you a buzz if we are passing your way. Bless you heaps! Keep up the amazing ministry to a generation!
