PODCAST – Episode 9

Kids Min depends completely on volunteers and without them we couldn’t do what we do. How do we keep them committed? Today we talk about ways we keep volunteers focused, keep the vision in front of them, help them feel a part of the ministry, give them ownership and responsibilities and so much more.

Also, should church be fun? What is the first question most parents ask their kids when they pick them up from your ministry? We have found it is “did you have fun today?” Fun or enjoyment is not the end goal, but the vehicle we use to be relevant, carry the message to the child and keep their attention to reach the objections for that ministry hour. Kids have a lot of choices these days in what they could be doing instead of coming to church. What do you do to help make it fun for them?

Do you have any “What Was I Thinking?” ministry stories you would like to share? If so, we would love to hear them! Please send them to steve@morethanpuppets.com and we will share them on a future podcast.
